School Frustration to San Francisco

Ooooooh, choosing university courses sucks.
Going into my second year at SFU and the second year enrollment date was ridiculously late meaning I got none of the classes I wanted.
I ended up w/ a women's studies, humanities, and history.
I WAS enrolled in a French course but it was for grade 10 french or less... while i got an A in grade 12 French. So I had to drop that particular class leaving me w/ only 3 courses. My issue w/ French is that, since I haven't taken it in over a year b/c I couldn't get into it first year, I forget everything... so if I start where I left off it would most likely be a train wreck.
So I've waitlisted for a communications class (I'm in 91st position... AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN) and a beginners Italian course b/c what the heck. I'm hoping that it really IS beginners or else I am screwed indeed.

In better news... trip to San Fran! WOOHOO!
Cannot wait to visit Alcatraz at night... maybe I'll have a ghostly encounter! haha
On our way there, we are visiting the Oregon coast and the California redwoods. The towns we are staying in are old and very quaint with little boutiques and victorian-style building and whatnot.
Really looking forward to it!

Italia, per favore!

So I have budgeted every expense and have an Italy plan!
Hopefully, if my cousin is able to go with me, we will be headed to Italy in May. This means I have to definitely save up... but, in a surprise twist, my parents have offered to pay some of my travel expenses bc my mom does not want me taking a cheap airline. That makes me very happy. lol =)

Anywho the plan is to go to...

Rome w/ possible day trip to Sperlonga
Pisa
Florence w/ day trip to either Siena or Volterra (Twihards will envy me HAHA)
Venice
Verona
Milan w/ day trip to Como

Venice and Florence are the ones I'm looking forward to the most! And eating yummy gelato everyday.

Fingers crossed this is going to happen!

Why I love the Ricky Gervais Show

Karl Pilkington on camels:

"They were good years ago in the Jesus times and that... don't need them now, know what I mean. We've moved on."

On too many similar species:

"If I was Noah, I woulda gone like: hang on a minute, I've just seen something that looks a bit like this... let it drown. Have a clear out."

Genius.

Opportunity?

So, I've been interested in doing an exchange with school. I have just looked into it and, apparently, one of the places I listed on my places to visit in the UK has a university I could do an exchange with: the University of Bath.
I will talk to an adviser to see if I'm eligible for Fall 2011 because that's when I'd really like to do it.
Hopefully, if I am eligible, my parents will be all for the idea.
I've looked up traveling to Europe and considering the places I want to go, it will take me some time to save up the money. Taking that into account, I think doing an exchange w/ school would probably be my best chance of getting there in the near future.

HELL YEA SPAIN!

WOOOOOO SPAIN! 2010 FIFA WORLD CUP WINNERS!

NED 0 - 1 ESP (Iniesta)

Finally, a team I was rooting for from the very beginning made it all the way!
Such a frustrating match... soo many close calls, a ridiculous amount of free kicks, and a stupid amount cards.
I am incredibly happy right now though. Thank god for Iniesta- who I had been getting frustrated w/ bc he always seems to get in a good scoring position and then passes it and misses the chance- & I feel horrible for poor Torres! He's such an amazing player and he just didn't get a chance this time bc of that damn injury. Ramos had a bunch of chances too that he unfortunately didn't make... it really sucks. But Villa has been insane this whole World Cup... he truly is a great player.

VIVA ESPANA!!!!!

HAY you!

So I got up this morning and walked into the kitchen to make myself a cup of tea. I'm half asleep as I look out the window and see a horse (which just neighed btw) in the field behind our house and behind the elementary school. Clearly, it's there for the kids but it was a strangeee sight to see in the morning. Now the kids started running out for recess, saw the horse, and stopped dead in their tracks haha. The first person A saw come out of the school was my mom with the little boy she's an SEA for... so that was weird as well. Then the rest of the kindergarteners came out to see the horse. It's very large and very pretty... but still odd.
