Brokeback Memories

A poem I wrote in grade 9 based on Brokeback Mountain.
I will have you know that, sadly, this is the best poem I've ever written (or will ever write, for that matter...).

There once was a cowboy named Jack,
He needed a job and packed up his sack.
He met a hot cowboy named Enes,
Up Jack's ass went Enes's [censored LOL]

In the norn, Enes rode away.
Waiting for him, Jack did stay.
When noon came round, Jack did go
To herd sheep by the river flow.

Jack was riding and saw a bear,
The man was startled, and ran did his mare.
He fell upon the rocky ground,
He went to camp, Enes was 'round.

Took care of Jack's wounds is what he did,
Not able to contain the feelings they hid.
They stayed together, lovers they were,
Until the end of that steaming summer.

Jack returned to Texas and found a wife,
Enes returned to his, they made a new life.
Jack sent him a card one year,
And went to Enes to be near.

When Jack arrived at his home,
Enes pushed him 'gainst a grain-filled dome.
His wife did see, it broke her heart,
But from Enes, she could never part.

He Told her they were going on a fishing trip,
But they went to Brokeback to skinny dip.
They held each other close and tight,
Until the end of that beautiful night.

The next day, the two returned.
They went their ways, but secretly yearned,
To meet each other every year
On that mountain that they held so dear.

On Enes's return from a night of romance,
His wife left him for getting into Jack's pants.
Into a new home he did go,
And farther from Jack he did grow.

He kept it secret from family and friends,
And as much as he loved him, with Jack, he could never make amends.
The messed each other every minute of every day,
Yet knew from each other, they had to stay.

Then the day when they met once again came,
On Enes, Jack did put the blame.
"I need you Enes, you need me too.
I wish I knew how to quit you."

The held one another in a loving embrace.
"We can't keep this up Jack, we're so out of place."
Parted once again did the two men,
Not knowing they would never meet again.

As Enes picked up the phone, he almost knew,
That his lover, Jack, his time was through.
Yet although he knew, he could never believe,
The life of Jack Twist, he could not retrieve.

And so the story ends, as Enes visits,
He sees his shirt; he couldn't miss it.
He leaves the house on Jack's parents' farm,
Wishing he could hold Jack in his arms.

62 Days!

62 DAYS TIL EUROPE!!!

I am so psyched to finish school (4 weeks!) and be done with SFU for good.
I have my application for Kwantlen all ready, just need to send it this week.
Hopefully I get into the program!

Also got a new job at Suzy Shier in the mall.
Love it so far... way better than my last job.
Why? Different kind of customer, nicer & better quality clothes that I actually like, organized, and I like my co-workers! (Although I did like 3 of the girls from Fairweather)

This means I get to save up money which I haven't been able to do.
Which makes the opportunity of being an au pair more attainable.
Plus, I have been talking with a German family for the past month or so... so you never know.

I'm really just in need of some adventure!
Europe, you can't come fast enough.
